Pros: Built like a Sherman Tank, drives like a dream. Cons: These days, at $2.20 (U.S.) per gallon I'd have to say the gas mileage.
Hi there, Schlamozzel here with another Slumlord Brand (TM) review of a product the general public needs to hear. Our subject for today (said while tremendous fanfare music plays in the background, and with Schlamozzels "game show announcer" ...
Pros: reliability, comfort, ac/heating, storage space, SAFE!! Cons: milage... but not really a big con.
I have had my XC70 for a year now, and I have nothing to complain about it. The leather seats are extremely comfortable and the heated seats make a cold day a memory. I bought this car because I have a new born and I wanted my wife and my son to be in ...
Pros: Roomy, comfortable Cons: Poor handling, cheap inside trim (for the price), over-engineered
We rented volvo xc70 2005 for a week and put a little less than 2000 miles. I do not own this car, but I would like to give my impressions from being in it for a whole week. The initial impression of the car is good. It is comfortable and has tons ...
Pros: Safety, performance and comfort. Cons: Only the gas mileage which has been less than the listed MPG.
So every car will eventually have a problem not matter how much you spend (look at the Porsche Cayenne). I'm tired of hearing all this Lemon talk about the XC70 and all the questions with why you would purchase this 'wagon' and not it's brother the ...
Pros: We like everything about it. Cons: It will last so long we'll have to wait to get a shiny new one.
We purchased a 2004 XC70 through the Overseas Buying Programme and have absolutely no regrets. This vehicle is the safest and most comfortable AWD vehicle on the market. We drove it 1800 miles along the Autobahn, sometimes reaching 120 mph and cruising at 90-100mph. It took us into the Austrian Alps through two/way alpine sloped streets which were meant for horse drawn carriages. We have taken it here in the States to Death Valley and along the Titus Canyon 27 mile off road vehicle trail. The most important route we have taken it on is the 2 mile drive to our daughters kindergarten class. Beyond its fantastic safety, the turning radius is so accommodating I can park it in spaces that NO SUV could ever attempt to blindly squeeze into. We love it. We have heard that there were Lemons out there in previous years, but we have ourselves a Peach!
The Volvo XC70 (Cross Country Station Wagon) is a solid all around vehicle. It's not overly flashy, not incredibly luxurious but it's enough of both to satisfy most discerning tastes. And that doesn't even get us to the strengths of a Volvo, and in particular the Cross Country. The car drives like a sedan but yet has the flexibility to haul all sorts of things and cover just about any terrain. I personally use it for snowboarding & camping trips up in the Sierra - and it performs well both on & off road, snow or rain. I recommend this car to anybody looking for a good valued sport wagon.
