We had a lovely stay here. The room was in good condition and the lack of air conditioning never bothered us. The staff was friendly and courteous. These units appear to be individually owned, so they can differ greatly. The view of Molokai is fantastic and the whale-watching is abundant in season.

We were told by the travel agent that it had been remodeled. The room that we were given was in need of repair. The carpet was old and had holes in it. There was no air conditioning in the whole hotel. The lock on the bathroom door was broken. It was loud and we didn't have a good night sleep. On top of all that, there were two visits by the police investigating robberies of some of the hotel guest's rooms. I felt very unsafe there.

On our departure the rude front desk clerk, asked in a blah tone of voice if she could do anything to keep us there. Thank goodness to the competent and wonderful workings of our travel agent that we were able to move to another hotel.

I will NEVER stay here again.

We had the unfortunate experience of reserving a condo. here and it was so dirty, beat up and smelly, we left after the first night. It was also very overpriced, at over $200/night. We found a beautiful larger, ocean front condo. just down the street with 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, for $140/night and it was far better in every respect. Aston is known for older, poorly maintained properties and should be avoided.
