Pros: Powerful, zippy, handy, stable with a clear screen, crisp font unmatched by any other device. Cons: bluetooth obex not available, could use extra application buttons. could also use a voice memo.
This will be a quick review, because I don't see the need to say much, for it is just a new model. Rim (research in motion) does a great job in keeping a familiar standard across their phones;however, I will be touching on just the key features. I ...
Pros: Good phone, excellent email. The STANDARD. Cons: Lacks some features, weak PDF support, slow internet through T-Mobile
Do you need a smart phone with a Camera? Do you need a smart phone that can take extra memory cards? Do you want your cell phone that provides you with workable copies of MS Word and Excel? How about an MP3 Player, is that an important feature for ...
Pros: Sleek, professional, tons of software available, crisp display Cons: Awkward handling, inconsistent UI/navigation, pricey apps, weak IM'ing, no camera/GPS/media player
Purchased the Blackberry 8700g through Amazon, 50 bucks with activation of plan, additional 120 dollars in rebates, leading to a net gain of $70. Plan includes regular voice of 1000 whenever minutes at $40, a Blackberry (BB) data plan at $20 and ...
Pros: Powerful, strong, stands up to heavy use. Reliable and quick, plus great sound. Cons: Heavy, bulky, not entirely functional for opening email attachments. The 8800 resolves most software issues.
I've had this phone for just about a year now. I purchased it because it's necessary to keep in touch with the office regardless of where I am, and email can't always wait until I can sit down and power up my laptop. What this phone has created for ...
Pros: The 8700's speed and larger single lettered keypad are a big improvement over the 7105. Cons: 8700 eliminated clicking "cc" or "bcc" to open the address book to select contacts.
I'm an executive addicted to his Blackberry, have owned a 7290 and 7105 and found their email features user friendly; with the exception of the 7105's double alpha keys. After receiving my new 8700, I was disappointed to find that when sending or forwarding email, RIM eliminated clicking "cc" or "bcc" and having the address book open for scrolling and selecting a contact. I have over 300 contacts in my address book and now have to enter the first character for each letter of the alphabet to view all contacts and not forget someone. It's also a hassle if any of the contact names in the address book were not entered consistently by first names when trying to locate a specific contact.
Pros: Push technology, Big Screen, Light weight, Big Keys. Cons: Memory size (only 64 MB)
I had Cingular/Treo 650 for the last year and in the beginning I didn't quite understand the need for Blackberry's "push techonology". So I settled for the Treo, plus it was touchscreen, etc. One thing though, it froze so many times, rebooted countless times, and towards the end of my contract...it started having problems w/conferencing calls. So after some research about push technology (do a wikipedia on it if you don't know what it is), I realized it's a wiser bet for me, plus Verizon's evdo network. So I chose to go with VZ and their version of the 8700, and boy...I'm extremely happy. I have my email coming to me without me having to check. And VZ's evdo network is as if i'm on dsl.
