The Website by douby1  Pros: The menu looked good, except for the glaring omission.
Cons: we didn't go We wanted to go to the restaurant on Veterans Day for the "Buy -one Get One Free" deal, so I went to the website to see the menu. There was no right-hand side to the menu--no prices. Our policy is "No Prices-No Go". If the chain is afraid to show their prices, we demur.

Why spend gas and time to go out to eat and find out that the menu does not fit the budget? I would assume that the prices are not equal to that of a 5 star restaurant, so why not include them on line. Even if the prices change from day to day, the changes would not be very dramatic. It is an inexcusable omission. Potential customers have a right to know what they will be charged by any establishment! |

Watch the kitchen... by planetiowa Pros: Food tastes good, is relatively inexpensive.
Cons: Lack of cleanliness, lack of concern by local and corporate. I used to dine at Taco John's frequently. I enjoyed the contrast between that restaurant and Taco Bell. It mainly came down to the sauce. I'd always DRINK a cup of the thick sauce to get my stomach working. Then, I noticed the fellow who took my order at a Des Moines location. He wore the plastic gloves to operate the cash register and everything else. Then, he worked on my food. I reported this to Taco John's HQ. They sent me some free coupons. About two months later, another person, same location, took my order, again with gloves still on. He proceeded to give himself a facial massage. I saw him go to the sink. His gloved hands were under the water about a second. He dried the gloves with a paper towel and made the food. This time corporate didn't seem to care. The local manager suggested that if that sort of thing bothered me, I shouldn't eat in restaurants. This was one of their TRAINING locations, too!

Fuddruckers ought to be ashamed by texasphilip Pros: Good Food
Cons: Should be honest with coupons, or just don't bother sending them. I want to start first with the fact that I really love Fuddruckers burgers... Nice big and juicy. I was on the main website and found that they offer a fuddclub for email specials and coupons... so I signed up!

This week is my birthday and I was excited to find that they sent me a coupon for a free 1/3 pound burger....yummmy! I printed it off and put it in the car... figuring I'd go by and use it. I got to the restaurant last night November 02, 2009... and was told by the manager they didn't accept the coupon... wow... I was disappointed to say the least. I walked out! I figure if a website and a restaurant chain is going to send that stuff out...they ought to at least honor it.... I realize that the rules maybe are different for a franchise...but why not keep a happy customer and take it, doesn't make sense to me. I sent the website back a comment, then told them never to send me stuff again. I really like the food, but play fair witht the customers. Bait and switch, to get you in... I hate that. |
