Pros: Crystal clear color display, lots of memory, solid. Cons: A little pricey.
Let's see. Palm Vx has 8MB memory, black and white display. PocketPC has 32MB memory, color display. Four times more memory for a little more dollars.
You can view photographs, watch movies on the IPAQ. Forget about doing that on a Palm....

Pros: Sleek Design, Bright screen, Super fast processor, price. Cons: Lack of built in expansion slots, Difficult to sync using USB.
I just received my iPaq last week and was shocked that I could find one available. I had been using an HP Jornada 548, and was very comfortable with it, but when I saw the iPaq, I just had to have one. First, I was very impressed with it's sleek...

Pros: Bright screen, speedy, COLOR Cons: Larger than most people say, apps cost
Since the iPaq is impossible to find (I drove 200 miles to get mine), my expectations were pretty high. Overall, they were satisfied, however, it's not perfect.
Pocket Word, Excel, Outlook work and synchronize well. Unfortunately, the synch...

Pros: Holds lots of data, easy and cheap to expand functionality Cons: activesync software is a bit buggy.
I have been working with and using PDA's since the HP omnigo. I have had an HP-PC, and omnigo, and palm pilot (III, IV). This is the best PDA i have ever used. Not only is the screen easy to read and bright, it is rechargable. No longer do I have to...

Pros: Color, looks nice Cons: price, availability
Ok, I'll start off with the cons just so I can get them out of the way. Yes, it is expensive and hard to get. With a price in the neighborhood of $500-$600, this is hardly a piece of equipment that you buy lightly. Second, it doesn't come with much...

Pros: Beautiful screen, colorful, moving images Cons: Battery life, contacts/appointments must be replaced with 3rd party software, no manual or help screens
I used a Palm VII for a year, then switched back to paper and pencil via Filofax. I bought the IPAQ because I can get wireless true internet access, but am still waiting for Compaq to actually ship what I need to do so. Regarding its basic functions,...

Pros: Great Color Screen, Amazing Capabilities, Good Audio Cons: Screen Scratches Easily, Very Breakable, Needs Expensive Components
If you listen to any opinion here, let it be this one. My high school was the only one in the country to do this. Mindsurf Technology gave us all Compaq iPaqs to test for the year. I learned a lot and also have some complaints. Here's the official prices...

Pros: Speed, functionality, looks, RAM, applications. Cons: Battery life, ROM, no built in CF or PCMCIA slot.
In general, this gadget is what all the other opinions have pointed out. Its almost perfect. I bought my 3650 on ebay and have totally been happy with it. The software is easy to use, syncronization is simple.
I want to focus on things that...

Pros: Fast, Handwriting Recognition, Sound w/Headphones Cons: Voice recording sound is horrible, Customer Service
I bought the iPaq yesterday to replace my 1997 Phillips Velo 1, so unlike Palm users, I have nothing recent to compare the iPaq to. I just read reviews, researched other Palm PC products and went for it.
Having just bought it yesterday, I...

Pros: many apps, lightweight, good battery life, good screen Cons: requires extra's to surf net or hold many files
Previously I had an IBM Workpad equivalent to a Palm 3. I needed more and of course wanted the latest/greatest. Well I believe I got it! This device does it all and I use it constantly for work, home and PTA business. I can transfer Word or Excel docs...

Pros: Color, speed, design.. Cons: uses WinCE which is crippled windows, lacking in drivers, IE is pathetically implemented..
We bought this and a IPAQnet card+service in order to support our moderately JavaScripted web based application. PIE claims to be Javascript 1.1 compliant but is nowhere NEAR THAT. Most of the JS 1.1 reference is completely missing.
It is...

Pros: Great Screen, Fast, Lots of Apps, Size Cons: No built in expansion, battery life
This is a sexy cutting edge PDA that everyone sees and wishes they had. Compaq did an excellent job designing the new iPaq series of handhelds. As much as I hate to admit it MS also did a great job with the PocketPC OS. I switched from a Palm based...

Pros: Transfers from computer easily, tons of software capabilities Cons: Not much memory makes buying memory cards a must, Compaq does not have the best record for customer service
I recently received the Ipaq as a birthday gift. I am a college student, and wanted an mp3 player mainly, but the Ipaq had so many other cool things that I couldn't pass up. It synchronizes itself with everything I have on my computer; word documents,...

Pros: Defective Cons: Shiny
I was so excited to get one of the few available units and loved playing with it for the two days it actually worked. It went bad on the third day, and I can get no satisfaction from Compaq customer service at all. It seems that many many units have...

Pros: Everything Cons: None
Hey, pretty good for a something that could fit in your hand! Im my opinion it's better than Palm pilot, well the 5 series for sure. I am the proud owner of a new iPAQ. I have a few confessions to make before I get to the meat of this review. First, I...
