Pros: Location, Disney touches and perks. Cons: Price
We have stayed at a few different Disney properties in Orlando, and the Paradise Pier at Disneyland was somehow lacking by comparison. If the Paradise Pier were located anywhere else, it would be little more than an average full-service hotel, with some ...
Pros: Location - within walking distance of the parks. Cons: Not all rooms have a park view.
I had a few days off over the New Years weekend, so I decided to go to Las Vegas with a quick stopover at the Disneyland Resort. After trying several times, I finally was able to get a Disney Visa cardholder rate of $99.00 per night at Disney's Paradise ...
Pros: Conviently located, private entryway into California Adventure Cons: Must walk everywhere, no Disney Transportation to California Adventure
I stayed here in 2003, I loved the room, ours happened to over look California Adventure and at night when all lit up it was beautiful. Not your typical Disney themed hotel, but the Paradise Pier has a fun beachy theme of yesteryear. The hotel is ...
Pros: Lowest cost on property hotel, very friendly staff, exclusive entrance to DCA, large rooms Cons: More "beachy" not as "disney", slighter fewer walk to DL
We stayed at the Paradise Pier Hotel (PPH) last December to specifically be able to have stayed at all three Disneyland (DL) hotels and compare them. I will say that I was pleasantly surprised by PPH when we stayed there. We were on the 9th floor (Upper ...
Pros: Great View, Great Price, Great Room, Great Character Breakfast Cons: Need to walk a little to get to the action
Me being from Disney World, I was a little apprehensive about staying at this resort. Everywhere I looked (not here)it said bad things about it. I am glad to say after comming back from it, I find that I was wrong, this place is amazing. It is the ...
Pros: Comfortable, great atmosphere, nice pool, walking distance to the parks Cons: Room service delivered a kids meal on an very hot plate
Overall my family and I had a great time at the Paradise Pier hotel. The suite was roomy and very comfortable. The View California adventure was spectacular. The distance to the parks was a little long but the exercise was good for us. My girls loved the pool and the life vests provided by the hotel was a nice touch.
The only problem I encountered was that one night I ordered room service and the plate which contained the kids meal was so hot that when I touched it for a split second I burned my finger (nice blister). If my little girls were not with me I would not take the time to write this, but I can't imagine how upset I would have been if one of my 4 year old daughter would have grabbed the plate. I'm pretty sure that her little hand would have been burned and our vacation ruined.
So if you order room service at the Paradise Pier don't let you kids handle the plate without checking them first...
