Pros: Disolves quickly. Leaves the dishes with a wonderful shine. Cons: none
No one likes to wash dishes! I know I dont. That is why I have a dishwasher and their names are just kidding, I do have a regular dishwasher. Choosing the right type of dishwasher soap can sometimes be sort of hard to do. Do you choose the...
Pros: Convenient, smell great, clean dishes well, no risk of overflowing detergent cups Cons: Can't adjust amount used, may be a bit more expensive per load than bottled gel
As you can tell by my di

review from 2001 dish washing is one of my least favorite household chores. I cant really explain why, but I abhor doing dishes by hand or even to some extent with my ...
Pros: Orange Blossom smells nice; convenient to use; cleans okay Cons: Need to use more than directions suggest; fails the "scrambled eggs" test
My wife and I have a deal. She does all the cooking, see, and I take care of the dishes. Everyone seems fairly happy that way -- I get fine meals out of the deal, and she doesn't have to mess with cleaning dishes after dinner (or, indeed, after breakfast...
Pros: Convenient; premeasured detergent; does a fair job of cleaning; light fragrance. Cons: Gums up dishwasher with frequent use; leaves light film on dishes; VERY water-soluble.
My family never had a dishwasher when I was growing up - I was it, and once I learned to wash dishes, that was my job. Thankfully, Mom didn't cook too much and so I never had much in the way of horribly nasty pots and pans to clean, but I still wished ...
Pros: Individually wrapped, interesting concept Cons: They leave dishes nasty, they clump when wet, and you will hate them.
My family goes through a load of dishes every day, so it is absolutely vital that the dishes in the dishwasher be really clean when they're done, so that I can unload them the next morning and have plenty of room for the day's dishes. Unfortunately, ...
Pros: Pre measured Cons: exp.ensive, left powder substance on plastic dishes
I had a .35 off coupon for these, so I thought I would give them a try. They were $2.62 for a pack of 20. I thought that this was a very trusted name in dishwasher detergents, so I thought this would be worth the extra money. DIRECTIONS: Hands ...
Pros: None Cons: Gelpacs dont fully dissolve, EXPENSIVE, stinky
The GelPacs would not fully dissolve in my Dishwasher, leaving a rubbery mess behind. These things are overpriced, and clean no better than any other dish washer detergent.
dont like the Electrasol Gelpacs by campermt ,Jan 04 '05
Pros: convenient I guess Cons: leaves the dishes dirty
We find our dishes are not coming as clean as they do with the other Electrasol dish washing products. It is not my dish washer as all others are excellent We would recommend the other ones but definitely not the Gelpacs.
Do Electrasol Gelpacs Cause Stench? by joezzyzx ,Mar 19 '07
Pros: None Cons: Smell from sink
Several weeks ago, my kitchen sink began emitting a foul odor every time I activated the dishwasher. I mentioned the problem to a friend, indicating that I was about to call a plumber. Without prompting, my friend asked if I had been using Electrasol Gelpacs. She had been having the same problem and made the connection between the stench and the Electrasol gelpacs. I stopped using the Electrosol pacs and the smell is gone.
Pros: Convenient. Period. Cons: Gums up the works resulting in costly repairs.
After using this product, I had to call out my local "lonely" Maytag repairman. He pulled several long strings of plastic out of the tubing and asked me what kind of dishwashing detergent I was using. I told him about the "gel" packs and he told me to throw them out NOW and go back to using the powders. Goodbye, Gelpacs. Hello, Cascade powder!
Pros: dishes come very clean and shiny. Leaves a great smell Cons: Messy when the pacs stick together and break open when you try to separate them.
The Electrasol gelpacs work great at washing the dishes and left a great scent. Even the dish washer smelled great. There is a downside which will probably make me stick tablets instead of the gelpacs, they stick together when humdity is high. Once they touch it is difficult or impossible to separate them. They should be individually packed. I bought them a Walmart in a container which gave 75 for the price of 60 and packaging inside separated them into two bags. The gelpacs should be around for 75 loads but am losing quite a few to damage from sticking together. I bought the gelpacs because I thouoght being a gel they would dissolve more readily in the dishwasher and they do, but the storing them long term is a problem which could make them expensive because of loses due to damage.
Pros: none Cons: Doesn't clean, streaks glasses and won't dissolve.
I've been around since before the first dishwasher came on the market. I have used many detergents and find this one to be by far the worst I have ever purchased. The dishes are not clean, the glasses are not clean and more than just spotted. The Gelpacs would not fully dissolve in my machine, leaving a rubbery mess behind. I am totally dissatisfied.
Pros: needs improvement or discontinue product the tabs work just fine Cons: really aren't any
For the 1st time I purchased the Gelpacs, the store was out of the Electrasol 85 tab I usually buy. Boy, was disappointed when I opened my dishwasher; one they left and awful film on my dishes two I'm stuck with a 60 pack of gelpacs that I won't be using, three I wasted $8 thinking it is an electrasol product, so what could go wrong...
