I really liked this movie. I liked the first one too. It has plenty of action and for the type of movie it is (comic book action film) it delivers plenty of thrills. I thought the script was well written. I know some people carp about it not being true to the comic but I say "who cares?". Its not an academy award drama but it is not supposed to be. It was better than Spiderman 3 and X Men 3, 2 films who have overextended their franchises. I liked the interaction between the leads and the dialogue was crisp and well written. Reminded me of the Mummy movies which were great fun to watch and didn't receive sparkling reviews. A must see in the theater and not on home video because because of the special effects. A rollicking good time.

I saw fantastic four at my local cinema earlier this evening. I was expecting to be bored but it turned out to be entertaining. The story line was quite good and it has some excellent special effects.

All i will say is that the story picks up from where the first movie leaves off,and the fantastic four have to battle demons and evil characters that threaten to destroy the world.

To tell you the truth if you're just looking to turn off your brain for nearly 2 hours, watch some cute guys on screen (Julian McMahon and Chris Evans), and you like a happy ending then rent or buy this. Though Jessica Alba is very beautiful she is a terrible actress and in this movie she actually looks a little scary with the white blonde wig (too blonde), the "too" blue contacts, and caked up white makeup on her naturally tanned complexion. Overall, the first one wasn't a box office smash and it was a little watered down so I don't know what genius (ahem...) greenlighted this movie but I must admit I enjoyed it.

Pros: Evil was good. Silver Surfer Special Effects the best.

The acting, premise and special effects were all sort of cheesy to me. I liked the first one much better. Please, Jessica Alba go back to being smart and tough and the blond hair has got to go. The other characters were too sappy except for my favorite, Dr. Doom...evil to the end. At least he stayed in character.

The Silver Surfer is an enigmatic wanderer. A slave of Galactus. The F4 show him the error of his ways.
The acting is ho hum, Reed falls flat in his humor although there are some funny bending moments. Johnny Storm is cocky as he should be while Ben is characteristically melancholy. Alba as Sue is OK but too much time goes to Reed Richards and the actor isn't that great.
