Take-Alongs looked like a great buy and exactly what I needed. I'm in the military and being away from home I don't have the luxuries of a full kitchen to use. I needed a microwavable dish that I could seal for the meals I could make. Take-alongs filled that need.

I was in for disappointment. My first and every dish after that I've cooked or warmed food in has picked up an awful taste. I've tried scrambled eggs, cream of wheat, guacomole, and even a heavy hitter like spaghetios...every one of them has picked up the flavor of what could only be the Take-Along!

I didn't know I'd be taking along the flavor of the dish.

Other aspects of the dish are great! See-through plastic...seals very well...great size! But the taste it leaves in your food is just wrong.

Take-Alongs have definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.

I bought these containers a month ago. The sizes work well, and both sizes in our set use the same lid, so you never have to go digging to find the right one. However, microwaving anything with a liquid or sauce seems to melt the plastic slightly around to top of the liquid level, leaving a band around the container (usually gets some of the colour of the liquid stuck in it), This makes them look very dirty very quickly. Also, the lids are seem to be even more prone to melting, especially when something is touching the lid while in the microwave; I had a meat pie melt right through the lid and have the plastic stick to the meat pie! (and it still wasn't very hot inside)
