Philips Magnavox 107E 17 in. CRT Conventional Monitor

I've been using this monitor daily for about 3 years. I've owned Philips products since I can remember, but I am especially pleased with this monitor. I've never had a problem with it. The picture and colors are vivid and sharp. I've never once seen as much as an odd flicker or lines moving on my screen as I have seen on other monitors.

I don't know if this has anything to do with the monitor but since I've installed florescent lights in this room I've noticed my eyes strain on occasion while looking at the monitor. I've also noticed the lights make the colors look washed out. But with the light off the screen looks great. I under florescent lights at work looking at a monitor without this problem. I'm not sure what what to make of it.
