Pros: Story-line, sound track, graphics, battle format Cons: Junction system
I was quite impressed on how Final Fantasy VIII was created. It has really good graphics, excellent cinemas (just like all the others), and the best sound track I ever heard. The characters and their weapons are a little out there, but it's still...

Pros: Graphics, sound, and story. Cons: Popularity.
Final Fantasy VIII, the second game of the series to come out on PSX. I found FFVII to be very difficult to play, I played it a few years after the game was released. But, this is not review for VII, so I will stick to VIII.
The graphics...

Pros: Good Graphics, Nice FMVs, Nice Music Cons: Confusing Magic System at first, some plot holes
I have decided to rewrite my review, since i have now really played the game. Ok first off the JUNCTION and DRAW system. Magic is basicly an item that you can steal from enimies. Then you can JUNCTION magic your chracters stats (Strength Vitality...

Pros: Graphics, Music Cons: Everything Else
Don't get me wrong, I liked all of the other final fantasy games... but there was something about this one that made it different. It lacked storyline, depth, gameplay, and fun.
The main problem with this one was the menu system. It is so...

Pros: Addictive, compelling story, not too hard to learn. Cons: Music is repetitive and the opening sequence is very long
...but I do. I spent 7 hours playing this game the night I bought it. I am not one to be easily addicted to this type of game. I usually get bored rather easily with fantasy role-playing games but this one sucked me in. I'm not sure if it is the story...

Pros: There has been much dispute concerning the supremacy of Final Fantasies Cons: Take a look at my argument and leave comments for feedback
I know how strongly people find themselves getting attached to RPG's. Posted on IGN.com are the "25 best PS games of all time", and much to my suprise FF8 was ranked several spots higher than 7. I read the reasons and couldn't believe what I was...

Pros: Great Graphics, some memorable tracks.
Cons: Most characters are shoved in the background, bad storyline, bad battle engine.
Now, I have never played FF VI in-depth. But I have played a bit of it, and if I had played it to the end then I would have found it just as good as FF VII. Final Fantasy VIII was a disappointment compared to FF VII. Hence the name of this...

Pros: storyline, graphics, characters Cons: ...the cons? it took me a while to think, and i still don't know
This is one of the best final fantasy games ever. The storyline is awesome. You see Squall change throughout the game, and you feel some sort of attachment to the characters. I actually like that there's not much action. This is a kind of a game in which...

Pros: Characters, Graphics, Sound, Plot...Everything! Cons: Not much...
Although all the nine, soon to be ten features of the adventurous RPG known as Final Fantasy are unsurpassed classics, it seems that Square have out done themselves this time...
Squall is a young graduate at the Military academy SEED. For his...

Pros: A story to beat all stories
Characters worth caring about
Stunning animations Cons: Too many random battles
Combat is, as always, turn-based and offers minimal excitement
Notice the devisiveness of most of the customer reviews of this game... There is a reason for this; FFVIII is a definite love/hate title. It's rare that I find anyone who says "Eh, FFVIII was OK."
The 'thing' about FFVIII is, it strays away...

Pros: GFs, and etc. Cons: Boring....
The only cool thing about Final Fantasy VII is that there is Guardian Forces! Well I guess it is kind of cool there are these Hi-tech gardens. But actually it is kind of a kid like game, you know 7 year old type. Well, in some ways. But it has an O.K...

Pros: Graphics, Music, Card Game Cons: Weak Character Development, Lack of a Strong Villain
Final Fantasy VIII, a game that's received more than it's share bashing. Why, you may ask. Is it really that bad of a game? Or was it just the fact that it didn't live up to it's popular predecessor, Final Fantasy VII? Hopefully,...

Pros: Graphics, FMV's, music, 4 CDs Cons: Story's a little weak
Final Fantasy 8 is a great game in it's own right but it doesn't totally live up the previous games. Now don't get me wrong, I loved this game and think it's great, it's just that I enjoyed some of the other ones more.
Story
The theme...

Pros: Good in-game movies, sound, and playability Cons: Chunky in-game graphics and battle system could be polished a little more
Final Fantasy 8 is an excellent game! To start off, the movies in the game are completely mind blowing, the music is by far the best ive heard, and the battle system/junction system is a nice addition. Squaresoft has done it once again with a fine...

Pros: Nice graphics. Cons: Corny storyline.
The overwhelming popularity of FF7 must have left the folks at Square in a pretty optimistic mood, not to mention putting a few extra dollars in everyone's pockets. Being one of the most critically acclaimed RPGs of its time, FF7 set the standards to...
