Advantage V-Rack

Pros: It seems to be sturdy, well-made, reasonably priced and easy to install.
Cons: It won't fit a 2" x 2" trailer hitch stinger as claimed.

I was hunting for a reasonably-priced rear-mount bike rack to fit a 2005 Toyota Highlander and ordered this one at REI. The product description said it clamps onto a 2" x 2" trailer hitch stinger (the removable tongue that fits into the hitch and holds the hitch ball).

My Highlander is equipped with a standard, US-made Draw-Tite hitch and 2" x 2" stinger but this Taiwan-made rack did not fit the 2" x 2" stinger as claimed. I found out why: the height of the clamp space was 2", but the width dimension was only 1-7/8", so the top of the "V" will not lock into place as it should. I took it back to REI for a refund.
