Pros: Very nice design. Easy handling. Looks sharp. Passenger air-bag can be shut off.
Cons: Major repair bills because of manufacturer's defects and so far, two re-call notices.
Bought the truck with only 51,000 kilometres on it. And it was a great vehicle for a while. Then, when we were still within our warranty time-wise but just over in kilometres, something in the transmission went and so did the trucks ability to back up. Brought it in to the dealer where we purchased it, and even though it was a manufacturer's defect, they wouldn't help us out with it, nor would General Motors when we called them to complain about it. (No reimbursement, partial-reimbursement, or even an apology.) $1,700 later and we were back on the road. About 4 months later, the water pump went to the tune of another $600. (You can't replace these yourself anymore because now the thermostat and other things are attached to the pump... that's why $600 now instead of $80-$90 like in the good old days.) I could be wrong, but aren't these the types of problems that normally show up on very old vehicles? Then came the re-call notices, one for the tailgate and another for the brakes. I just can't understand how a two year-old truck can have these kinds of costly problems already.
