Pros: Very fast, Price, Standard Equipment. Cons: Still a bit too much torque steer, Interior quality.
The Dodge Neon has successfully thrived in the overpopulated econobox market thanks to three major factors: above average performance, innovative exterior styling, and excellent value. For the 2004 model year the Dodge Neon SRT-4 (a replacement for the ...

Pros: Very quick without massive torque steer; well-bolstered seat, price lower than other similarly quick cars Cons: Driving position, exhaust noise, styling, interior materials, shifter, $6,000 more than a Neon R/T
The last few years has witnessed the re-emergence of the hot compact market. I still recall the first time around. VW created this segment in the early 1980s when it introduced a performance-tuned version of its Rabbit, tagged the GTI. The GTI sold well ...
My Experience I test-drove a Dodge Neon SXT 5-speed sedan at a local dealership. My test drive lasted about twenty minutes and covered city streets, winding secondary roads, and the freeway. Performance The Neon's performance ...
Pros: Quick to accelerate, good handling and braking Cons: Heating system was slow in winter. Road noise
Another trip, another car. This time it was the 2004 Dodge Neon SE. I checked into Dollar Car Rental (that will be my next epinion) and within a few minutes I was speeding out of the Albuquerque Sunport to my hotel. Over the course of about 7 days I ...
Pros: 248HP/270TRQ LSD Turbo 0-60 5.5 1/4 14.0 Cons: 22-30 MPG estimate might be a little too generous if you 'drive' it at all.
If you haven't been introduced to the Dodge SRT4, first take a look at this website here: http://www.dodge.com/srt-4/ . Now, for the REAL facts. The website says that it's rated @ 230Hp and 250 ft-lb trq. Well, people have had their 2004 SRT dynoed ...
Pros: 17in wheels with grippy tires, tons of power, Sounds like Camaro, TONS of aftermarket parts Cons: looks like neon. Poor fit and finish. Hood is not active, it cools turbo
I love this car. Its fast, turns heads and is supported by Dodge for aftermarket parts. Stage 2 is coming out 02/04 and will bring this car up to 280hp from the 230 that it is listed. Expect this to be higher as while dodge claims the 2004 SRT-4 to be ...
Pros: Economical, sporty, most bang for buck. Cons: None that I can see yet.
I recently purchased a brand new 2004 Dodge SX 2.0 in Bright Silver. (I am Canadian, but I believe it's still known as the Dodge Neon in the United States, although I could be wrong!) I couldn't be happier with it. The base model is equipped with such ...
Pros: Drives Smoothly and Easy Handling Cons: Automatic Windows only in the front
I bought a 2004 Dodge Neon SXT for my first car. When I was at the dealership I saw this bright yellow car and I knew it was going to be mine. It has a moon roof, it is very roomy and overall it just looked nice. Since I was already impressed by the car ...
Great car for a Great price by mlg1019 ,Apr 11 '05
Pros: Great price, Nice gas mileage, and fits car seat well. Cons: I can't think of anything really; I haven't had one ounce of problems with it.
I've owned this car now for about a year and love it. This is a great car with a great price. The gas mileage is wonderful and drives nice! My daughter's car seat fits nice and snug in the middle of the backseat. This car is nice to drive, cost efficient, and overall a great car for the price. I would recommend this car!
Pros: Great gas mileage and price is extremely good, especially with rebates! Cons: Road noise at times can be quite loud.
I was driving a 93' Dodge Shadow, so when I sprung a gas leak I decided it was time to ditch the coffin on wheels and look for a new car. I just started working for Chrysler and knew that I needed to purchase a Chrysler brand vehicle, but come on, I just started working for them and that means; I don't make a lot of money yet. So I was purchased the Neon SXT by default. It was an inexpensive car with the options that I wanted. I wasn't thrilled at first about purchasing the car, but now that I have been driving it for a couple of months I really enjoy the car and am happy with my decision. I would recommend this car for people who are on a tight budget, first time buyers, or for people who want REALLY good gas mileage.
Pros: Priced right, Easy to handle, Good on gas, Excellent warranty, Perfect for my wife Cons: Rough on rough roads, Not sold on durability
I purchased a Dodge Neon for my wife. It has a sunroof, nice stereo, lots of room for me (I'm 6'2", 260lbs) and my kids. I love everything about the car. I give her $10 for gas, and that lasts her all week. There is just enough space to store items. It is a very sound car. My wife gets to enjoy driving a brand new car, and I get a nice monthly payment to fit into my budget.
Not a good car......especially with a child by hojorit ,Jul 13 '07
Pros: looks nice, cheap, good acceleration Cons: not good mechanics, small interior, not reliable
I thought this would be a good car but only about a month later and with less than 1,000 miles it was broke down. It had serious computer problems and engine problems. It was not reliable because you never knew if it would start or continue to run once it started. Luckely the problems were fixed under warranty, but shortly after the warranty was out it was broke down again. I also had problems putting in a infant car seat because the back seat was too close to the front. After all the problems I chose to get rid of this car....GOOD decision!!!
Pros: Value, economy, room, great AM/FM reception in stock radio Cons: Not overly stylish, but mine's black and that helps a bit.
I purchased my 2004 Neon SXT 8/04, and since that time have had not one single problem with it. It routinely gets 36 mpg (occasionally higher), is fairly quick, handles reasonably well, provides me with enough room (I'm just over six feet tall)--I really don't understand why these cars were not better received by the reviewing press. From what I've read, it gets way better gas mileage than the newer Japanese-made products (Mazda 3, Nissan Versa) and Korean-made (Chevy Aveo, Hyundai). Moreover, I bought mine for 11,100. The SRT short-throw shifter is available from the dealer for under $200, which I bought and installed easily myself, making it even more fun to drive. It's larger than my best friend's Audi A4, and costs literally one third as much.
Gas Pig ~ Dodge SX 2.0 Sport by gas_pig123 ,Aug 13 '04

Dodge SX 2.0 Sport
Nice car all round for $21,500 CDN Fully loaded.
Dealer should make all factory incentives available,
instead of hiding them & have the customer sign them off. What a great way to earn repeat & referral business............., and saying that the $$ are not negotiable, and that they only make $800 profit.....
