Pros: Eager and crisp-sounding engine, accurate shifter, light and nimble handling feel, pleasant interior. Cons: Small interior dimensions, somewhat lumpy ride, lack of wagon version reduces practicality.
My Experience I test-drove a Hyundai Accent 5-speed sedan at a local dealership. My test-drive lasted over half an hour and covered city streets, a winding frontage road, and the freeway. Performance The Accent's performance was ...

Pros: Price
Fuel Economy
Dependability after 42,000 miles Cons: Factory tires
A little Cramped
Not for people who can't drive a manual
I used to be opposed to the idea of buying new cars. The depreciation, the mark-up, that all changed in the summer of 2004. The last used car I would ever own died after 14 months of driving. I was sick and tired of inheriting someone else's problems, ...

Gives the other imports a lot of competition
by maxx19692004 ,Apr 06 '05
Pros: MPG-33-40, handling, reliability, looks. Cons: none that I can think of.
I bought my Accent in December and have put 7500 trouble free miles on it. It cosistently returns 33-40 in mixed city and hy driving. The 5 spd gear shift finds the gears without any guessing. The ride of the car is smooth on most roads, if you hit a particularly bumpy area it is noticable but tolerable. The Accent also remains fairly quiet on all the roads. The handling of this car in my opionion is exceptional. Most of my driving is hy the handling is awesome. It hadles quick turns and braking wihtout question, and its the same in snow, I have had to hit the brakes hard in a few snow storms and the handling wihtout anti lock breaks is very predidctable and safe. The roominess of the car is perfect for 4 adults and it's still comfortable. The seats are supportive and although the drivers seat is the only one that's 6 way adjustable the passenger seat is still very supportive. I also wanted to add that cumsumer reports rated everything on this car above average and it is now a reccomended buy.

GREAT CAR....awesome price...unbeatable warranty
by peri882 ,Nov 30 '05
Pros: WARRANTY. PRICE. MPG. Cons: bad in the snow
I bought my 2004 Hyundai accent sedan from a dealer with only 20,000 miles on it. I have put 3000 miles on it and it drives like the day i got it. It accelerates pretty decently and gets awesome mileage... i get about 300 miles with each tank. The 60,000 mile/5 year warranty transferred to me as a second owner. Which is awesome because most used cars only get like 4,000 warranties with them. I paid 9,999 for mine with real low mileage and a warranty like that, i couldn't have found a better deal.
