Pros: Extraordinary feature content, high-quality interior, soft and comfortable ride. Cons: Vague, rubbery shifter and clutch, sloppy steering and handling, mushy brake-pedal feel.
My Experience I test-drove a Suzuki Forenza 5-speed at a local dealership. My test drive lasted about half an hour and covered city streets, a winding frontage road, and the freeway. Performance The Forenza's performance wasn't ...

Pros: VALUE, fit, finish, price, features, ride, design, stereo, ergonomics, quality, warranty, performance. Cons: higher speed power, slight body roll, gas mileage could be better.
My needs were for a new vehicle with major warranty that maximized value at a minimal price. Researched heavily, compared and test drove. I bought the Forenza and couldn't be happier. Considering this car is among the least expensive vehicles on the ...

Just test drove one
by ebuyer_030 ,Dec 29 '03
Pros: Exterior styling is exact and consistant. Interior is clean and well organized. Cons: Its not a photogenic car! Have to see it in person to judge it.
I just went to test drive a forenza at Auburn Suzuki in Washington State.
I wasnt expecting much becuase their current price for a forenza with power everything is $9995.
Cant say how suprised I was at the fit and finish of that car. drives great. Details inside and out are that of a car twice the price. Just for a comparison I went to a hyundai dealer to drive a comparible car to the forenza in the same price range. It was the Elantra. These two cars even resemble eachother!
Gotta say though.... the suzuki is a better car all around. The lot I was at to check out the hyundai also carries suzuki's (Doug's Lynnwood Suzuki) so I was able to compare them side by side. The suzuki Forenza looks like it was built with much better attention to detail. And the overall body style is better than the elantra, specially when it comes to fit and finish.
I still have a few more cars to look at and compare but so far the Forenza is winning hands down.

MY FORENZA IS SO PERDY
by gergreg ,Feb 15 '04
Pros: Every option imaginable is standard, low cost, great drive, fuel efficient Cons: Hmmm...this is a toughy, maybe the lack of a new car smell.
I was test driving and researching cars for over a month before I found the Forenza. After the test drive with it my decision became very easy. Its engine was like a whisper when i started it up and it handled amazingly, the pep was not too shabby either, considering the 119 hp v4 engine. The other part that made my decision easy was the fact that I got practically every option and I'm only paying $135 a month on a SmartBuy. I closed the deal today, crossed the t's dotted the i's and on Monday I'll be bring my baby home. I am so excited and in a few months I will submit another review to update on how the car is after some wear and tear.

I have a Forenza too~
by benjai08 ,Feb 21 '04
Pros: GReat sound system, luxurious, safe, nice style, cheap, comfortable, and comes with many features Cons: bit noisy cuz 4 cylinder engine and front of car looks okay but overall GREAT.
I am a teenager who craves speed and style... I went to the Hyundai dealership and looked at the Elantra. It looked nice but i didn't really like it. I searched online and looked at other cars: honda civic, Mitsubishi Galant, Ford Focus, and the Suzuki Forenza. I was comparing one to the other, and decided that the the Forenza was the best. WHen i asked others for opinion, they told me that the Elantra had many maintenance problems. When i went to the Fredbean dealership (which sells a variety of new cars), i found the forenza in the show room. I took it for a test drive and finally decided to get the car. For only 12,000 dollars, it had many features that the other cars doesn't have. This car has a 4-wheel disc brakes, which the other cars doesn't; and it also makes it safe.
When I drove the car to school, I had turning heads. My friends said "is that your car?" looking stunned by it.
(Forenza type S)

Should have been called Suzuki Lemon
by inzerowetrust ,Mar 24 '06
Pros: Looks nice while sitting at the dealership waiting for repair. Cons: The car is aweful. Suzuki should stick to motorcycles.
My 2004 Forenza was the first new car I ever purchased and proved to be in my mind the worst car ever made. I unfortunately did not do any research before buying this car, and regret my haste. The car I feel looks fine, however it was originally designed by DaeWoo and now has Suzuki parts most notably the computer shoved in it with little or no understanding of it's importance. So the car constantly has idle issues, surging up to 5000 rpm's with your foot no where near the gas pedal. Oh and the computer also sends a signal to turn the check engine light on at the drop of a hat, which sends the angry new buyer to the dealership to get the run around one more time.

Love my FORENZA!
by michael81 ,Oct 17 '04
Pros: Everything you can ask for in an excellent well-priced package. Cons: The acceleration needs getting used to.
After weeks of deliberating on which car to get, I've made one of the smartest moves by getting a Suzuki Forenza. At the price, everything about the car just wraps up so good around the whole styling. It has everything I want and could ever wish for at the more-than-reasonable price. I got the S trim (base model) with A/T. It has everything from power windows and locks, heated mirrors, CD player, the redundant radio controls on the steering wheel, remote trunk lid opener, 60/40 split folding seats, spacious trunk and oversized cabin. Even my 6-foot tall friends find the backseats more than enough. It has more room than Camry and Civic without making it look huge from the outside. The handling is great, as long as you don't rice it up and pretend you're racing. It wasn't meant for that anyway. Starting from a full stop is challenging at first but my previous car was for racing anyway. While cruising, the speed-sensitive power assisted steering is very helpful. The Italian-designed interior is the best part for me, just well laid out with the cool silver accents. All in all, can't-ask-for-anything-more-at-this-excellent-well-packaged-car.
