Tea it's for burns too!
Oct 09 '00
I used to do quite a bit of construction work when I was
growing up, and keeping my suntan lotion on was virtually
impossible...my hands would be way too dirty to reapply as
needed and many times I simply didn't have time to stop what
I was doing to reapply! After many sunburns due to full days
in the sun, I came to find a remedy that actually works
really well, and doesn't cost hardly anything. Not to
mention is doesn't leave you smelling like a pickle either!
Boil up a few tea bags depending on how large the area of
the sunburn and use the tea and the bags to reset the ph
balance in your skin. This will allow your skin to not be
so "leathery" as the burn is healing and it will actually
speed up the process of getting the burn out!
Tea bags have also been used to ease severe burns like from
stoves and stuff, and the added "special" is that they also
keep scarring down to next to nothing!
The longer you can keep the tea on the skin, the better and
faster it'll work, and though it may seem like a silly idea,
I've done this on more than one occasion and I'm glad I did!
There's nothing worse than trying to put clothing on over a
really bad sunburn, this takes most of the burn out on the
first or second application. Nothing special, just plain
tea...just make it stronger than you would to drink it and
enjoy the soothing relief it gives your skin! I'm not a
doctor so I can't effectively explain to you WHY it works,
other than the fact that the tanic acid in it is very capable
of drawing the burn out and restoring the skin's natural
condition.
Try it...if you are worried that someone will laugh, try it
when no one is looking, but DO try it - it really works
quite well!!!!
