I was issued this laptop for business use and it's been great. The screen is bright and stable, the 400 MHz chip is very capable, and the unit's design is elegant and sensible. Of particular note is the thoughtful placement of click buttons just beneath the spacebar, so that you can click with your thumb as you're using the pointer (between the G, H, and B keys of the keyboard).
I'm just a regular user, so I can't speak to the real technical ins-and-outs, but I am very happy with the performance of this machine. I do play games on it on the side and it's been fine for that. (I wouldn't advise you to try and intensive graphics game like Quake3 or Unreal or something like that, but it's great for Age of Empires and other less demanding games.)
The battery life is middle-of-the-road--it'll run for about an hour (and that includes using a network card or modem, which consume quite a bit of power). I can take it home in the evening and do about 45 minutes of email and web surfing over DSL without problems.
All in all, it's a great laptop for business use with some personal stuff thrown in.
