As I sift through Epinions' numerous reviews for word processors and HTML editors, I couldn't help but feel something was missing... Of course! How could you forget the grand-daddy of all word processors, NOTEPAD!!!
Coming standard with Microsoft Windows, there are hardly any PC users who don't have this awesome program on their system. But do people use it? Should people use it? I say 'definitely'. Notepad is an extremely easy to use, powerful program that no one should do without. Just type in your text, be it html code, or just a standard document, save and voila! That's all there is to it! This program is also a favorite because it can open virtually any text-based file: txt, doc, doc, nfo, ini, you name it.
Now I'm not saying that you should drop your Word 2000 or your Macromedia Dreamweaver, but acknowledge it's existence and don't look down on it for it's simplicity!!
