A great card in its time.

Pros: Most widely supported card, great frame rates and resolution.

Cons: It's ancient history now. There are many faster cards out there.

A year ago this card was a screamer. It could make any old computer look new with the way it handled graphics. Now, in the rapidly evolving world of graphics cards, it's nowhere near the fastest anymore.

This was the most widely supported graphics card when I bought it. Every game was being made for 3dfx Voodoo cards of some shape or kind. The resolution is terrific, and the frame rate is great if you have an older computer you want to play older games on.

For anybody with a computer purchased in the past two years, you'll probably want to pay extra and get a newer graphics card. 16 megs RAM is not enough for today's games.
