Recently I decided that it was time to replace my old outdated PC with one that would suit my personal and home-based business needs. After two weeks of comparing products and prices,I decided to purchase the new Compaq Presario model 5868. I really like the design and ease of operation that this PC has to offer. This particular model offers all of the most wanted upgrades and software that the home user needs for any application. It comes with the new 600 MHz AMD Athlon processor that processes quickly and extremely efficiently. Also it comes standard with a DVD disk drive and a re-writable CD disk drive. The usual 3 1/2 disk is also standard. I also liked the frontal game ports on this model. The price was a little high compared to some other makes but The product quality and factory warranty plus the Compaq on-line assistance led me to make this purchase. If you like all the "bells and whistles", this one has almost all of them. In my opinion, if you are looking at a mid to high end PC, this model will give you the best overall value for your PC dollar. The price was $1797.00 plus the Compaq model 720 17" monitor was priced at 388.89.
