I think that you should always buy more than what you need because if you buy just what you need, your computer will be outdated within a year. The way that technology is is that you need a lot more than you think because it is always updating itself. Plan to spend a lot. The more that you spend now, the longer your computer will last. A computer is a large investment, such as a car would be. I would recommend buying an HP product , I really have had good luck with them. Another good tip is to shop at stores like office depot or staples; they seem to be a little bit more friendly because they do not work on commission, unlike a store like circuit city.
