Pros: good power for low cost. CD writing ability
Cons: restore CD only lets you restore to original factory condition, can't get drivers without a restore.

I purchased this system as a replacement to my old 233. I chose this one for the Celeron processor, since it is low cost for a good amount of power. The users guide and online help was very good and told all that I needed to know. I chose this model for the CD-RW drive. It had a whole variety of software preinstalled and if something goes wrong, unlike other vendors, the software is re-installable off of a two CD backup.
I have upgraded the HD, modem, network adapter, sound card and memory over the course of the year I've own this system. The upgrades went pretty much without a hitch until I wanted to upgrade the Hard Drive. The CD's used to restore the applications could not be used without doing a COMPLETE restore of the original system. Even the drivers can't be extracted from the CD. This is a real con to the system. It's not enough to change my mind about the system though. It handles USB devices flawlessly, has reasonably good speed, and is friendly enough for beginning users.
