I changed the rating on this review due to the fact the site went under. I am, however, leaving the original review alone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I used to visit this site all of the time, but as time went on, I noticed there were hardly ever new offers. I know there were a few I never got credit for and when I wrote them about it, they asked me to send documentation about my question and they would see if they could help me. Usually, I got the credit after about 4-5 emails. I got it, that's the important thing. When I first signed up, I thought this is great!! Shortly afterward, I ran out of things to sign up for. I still get their email once in a while advertising things I've already signed up for but I very seldom go back. I did earn quite a bit before the offers dried up and it didn't take long to get the money, either. I hate to complain about them because they were great in the beginning. They still are, they just haven't had anything new lately. I guess this is kind of a mixed review. If you're new to them, I recommend it. Easy money. Keep track of what you have signed up for though. Most of them don't credit right away. If you are familiar with Cybergold, you know what I'm talking about.
~UPDATE~
Well, I still visit Cybergold just to see if anything new has came up. Not much in the past few months that I haven't already done, but I still look.
What is Cybergold? It is a .com that pays you money for trying offers and signing up for stuff. What do you have to do? Well, you can earn cash by signing up for newsletters, credit cards, 30 trial membership to different clubs, such as book clubs. The money is "pending" in your account until they verify that you really signed up for as certain club or downloaded certain software, depending on the offer. This can take from 7-45 days. They also have the "instant earn" ones that are credited to your account instantly.
How do they pay? Well, you have to give them a either your checking account information (account number and bank routing number) or a VISA account number. I know a lot of people don't like that. Well, I found a way around that. I signed up for Fatshoe.com (another Epinion) and used that VISA number. Since it is a prepaid Visa with money I earn online, it will not effect my credit if it is stolen. I wouldn't be thrilled, just out money I earned online, which is better than my checking account or VISA card.
Under what circumstances do they pay? You have to have a minimum of $10 in your account and they charge a $.95 transfer fee. This has gone up as it used to be a $.25 transfer fee. I don't mind to much as to me it is "free" money anyway. Paying $.95 cents to get it isn't to big of a deal. Plus, it only takes 7-10 days to get (mine have always taken 9 days).
Cybergold is a pretty good deal when you first find it, but the new offers have been pretty slim lately, that or they require money or changing my long distance, which I don;t want to do. All in all, they are a pretty good way to earn a little extra money online for not to much time.
Side note - I have never used their customer service so I don;t know if it is good or not. :) Also, there is no referral rewards for you unless you are an affiliate for them. You just go to www.cybergold.com and sign up. They are now owed by MyPoints.com.
