The geforce2 mx was originally aimed at targeting the laptop community, but they found out it works out better for the value consumer. I picked this up for $119 when it first came out to replace my geforce1 sdr, which I paid around 250 for.
The geforce2 mx provides the same performance as the geforce1 with great overclocking potential with the faster ram. Most card vendors that build their cards around the nvidia line are based on the reference design, thats why they all look the same so basically they are all the same with maybe a different color card, different fan, drivers, software bundle, and maybe faster ram. A geforce 2 gts can be picked up for about 140 now, so I plan to sell my geforce2mx and get a gts. The visiontek is a great card who makes oem for another card company that I can't remember.
I'd recommend this card to anyone who is on a budget, but wants to play games. The twinview looks pretty good though. My only gripe about the nvidia cards is that no vendor makes a geforce card with a tv tuner.
