HomeComputers & InternetPC LaptopsWhat Should I Know About Fujitsu Notebooks in General?

Mixed Bag

Unfortunately, our first laptop was a Fujitsu. It hasn't been a terribly pleasant experience, although it hasn't been entirely negative either. We had problems with the sound card and modem, and we had to add memory because the 16 meg of RAM wasn't sufficient.

It was inexpensive, though, and did allow for generally easy portable computing. The screen is big enough, easy to get to a good viewing angle and the keyboard is comfortable.

On the down side, it s heavy, the battery has a poor life (about 45 minutes of normal use) and the reliability has been spotty. The button that operates the mouse has never felt intuitive, although that could just be a matter of taste. I will day that using the pad type mouse seems much easier to me, and that the Fujitsu style never has. Also, if it moved quickly, there was real problem in finding the cursor on the screen.

Although this review sounds negative, we could not have lived without this laptop, and we have used it a great deal.
