| CajunTexas's Full Review: HP Pavilion 4553Z |
While shopping for Yuletide gifts at Wal-mart last December, I went strolling through the electronics department. I then had the habit of always checking out their new and ever-changing stock of computers. I never imagined I'd find this gem! There, sitting packaged on the floor, was a rather large two-box computer system. I bent to check out the specs. 455 MhZ AMD, 128 Mgs RAM, 48x cd-rom, 12 GIG HD, internal ZIP drive, 3-D graphics card with large cache, 17" monitor and a lot more! I was simply amazed, especially when the price sticker said $899. I quickly found a stock clerk and had them load this up. I wasn't expecting this at all! I got it home and started it up. Wow! I am in love with this computer. HP's always been a favorite of mine as far as quality for price goes, and this just knocked my socks off. I've nicknamed her Speedy. I have had NO problems with this computer! The soundcard is great, picture quality is excellent and it clocks surprisingly close to the 455 speed it's advertised at! That's not something you often find. I really love this keyboard, too. It has easy access buttons for just about everything, and a turn-knob for volume control that is much easier than up/down buttons. Great job, HP!
PS: I still to this day believe that this was a Wal-mart boo-boo. I can't believe the great price I got this baby for!
