You might be asking yourself how the mere act of turning on a Computer could make someone feel like they were getting away with murder.
When I turn on my Dell 4100 I feel bad and powerful at the same time. I feel bad that my brand new Dell 4100 computer can crush any application, destroy web page load times, and display killer graphics on all of today's high end games. It's almost like getting away with murder!
The Specs...
My Dell came with all the latest and greatest, top of the line, brand name components. It is powered by an Intel Pentium III 800 MHZ Processor along with 128 Megabytes of 133 MHZ SDRAM. This combination makes for one powerhouse of a machine.
But there is so much more...it contains Intel's new 815(e) chipset. The new chipset allows the use of the faster 133 MHZ SDRAM I mentioned before. This chipset also has built in 3D graphics capability. Normally built in Graphics Cards make future upgrades tough. However, the new Intel 815(e) chipset also includes a 4X AGP graphics port. That port allows you to add a high-end graphics card of your choice. Dell installed a NEW 32MB DDR NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS card into the AGP slot on my computer. This card is great for those demanding 3D games. But what is good looks without a nice voice? Well, Dell added a nice voice in the form of a Sound Blaster LIVE! Digital sound card. For an extra $50 I had Dell ship me the Harman Kardon HK-595 Sorround Sound Speakers + Subwoofer! They sound incredible together! In fact I think my neighbors will soon be complaining!
So what goes great with awesome graphics and sound? You guessed it! DVD. My Dell 4100 included a 12X DVD Rom Drive. I have watched quite a few movies and let me tell you...my VCR has never been dustier! I'm sure that you are thinking that PC monitors are too small to watch movies on. WRONG! My Dell came with a 19 Inch Trinitron monitor. What does Trinitron mean? It means...a virtually FLAT tube and rich colors all the way up to a 1600x1200 resolution.
In addition to these great features my Dell 4100 came with the following components.
HUGE 30 Gigabyte Hard Drive
3Com V.90 56K PCI Telphony Modem
Microsoft IntelliMouse
Microsoft Windows + Works Suite + Free Windows ME Upgrade
1 Year On Site Labor and 3 Parts Warranty
1 FREE year of Dell Net Online Service
The above listed components are really top-notch! I really enjoy DELL Net. It is superior to AOL in many respects. Speed, reliability, and it doesn't try to log you off every ten minutes! In fact it has never crashed or logged me off once.
So by now I am sure you are wondering about price. I paid about $ 2200 for this awesome machine, including shipping and tax. It is not the most expensive machine out there but it is not the cheapest by any means. However, I do believe that you are getting a lot of bang for your buck.
I did order my machine off the Internet. Let me assure you that it was one of the easiest purchases I have ever made. I got a confirmation E-Mail right after I sent the order. The E-Mail contained an order # and the name of a sales person to speak to incase of a problem. You can even track the status of your order from Dell's Home Page. www.dell.com I even received my order a week ahead of their estimated delivery date.
I hope this Epinion will help perspective buyers make their decision to purchase an Awesome Rock Solid DELL 4100.
