I personally bought an AOpen computer. It was a value priced K6-2 450mhz computer. I opened it and yet did I know, it was really a monster. The AOpen MX59 Pro motherboard that came with my computer had detailed instructions of how; you can increase the speed of your computer. Hear this before? Well its not one of those software programs that temporary speeds up your computer. This is the type of speed that is forever, until it breaks. The average lifetime of a processor & motherboard is about 10 years. Even though a computer is considered worthless after 2 years. Overclocking is a hobby for most advanced computer experts. It's squeezing the life out of your computer. This might cause overheating and/or a shortened lifetime. But 10 years is a long time. While I was following the detailed instructions of how to get most of my overclocking with this specific computer & motherboard, I tried increasing the CPU, and the FSB speed slowly. I was amazed at the end. I ended up with a k6-2 682mhz, which is a 232mhz improvement. Previously it was a 100mhz FSB & 37.5mhz PCI. But it was a lot faster than that, because I also increased the bus speed to 124mhz, and the PCI speed to 41.3, and its stable. This $500 computer got me a more speed then I bought, and it's all because of a quality value motherboard.
