| frogplop's Full Review: Dell Inspiron 7000 A400LT |
The Dell Inspiron 7000 is one of the best laptops that i have seen that are out on the market. You don't find yourself saying what the... every five seconds when you try to save something anymore. There is a spot for a printer and a mouse in the back as well, if you are not a big fan of the touch pad. Whether it is gaming you are looking for, or reliability, this machine can support it all. I have played Unreal Tournament, Quake III and the like on this machine and I have had no complaints with the compatibility as well as the performance. This is one of the only laptops i have ever seen that can support those type of high quality games. The 15.1 inch screen is a plus as well. You have plenty of space on your screen for four or more applications, and it stays uncrowded. It is very easy to take form place to place, especially in a college environment, if you need some quiet to work. The battery life is about 2 hours of work time, which i have found to be more than enough at one time. The DVD player also comes in very handy as it is a picture perfect view of the movie. No complaints at all about the visuals on this machine. Two things that need to be considered when purchasing however, are the hardrive size, from 4.8 gigs to higher. You defenitly need more than 4.8 gigs. Nowadays, it is just becomeing common sense. The other thing would be get more memory too. 64 megs came with this, and i am adding 64 more soon, which is very needed right now. It has some trouble keeping up to speed when multiple apps are open, but still gets the job done 90% of the time. Overall, this is a very high quality machine with seemingly unlimited potential for pleasure. Take a look for yourself and try her out, i think you will be very surprised at the power that the Dell Inspiron 7000 contains.
