Most PC users have heard of DELL's quality, but perhaps not so many have
been informed about their service and honesty. When I ordered my DELL
Dimensions-L 500C, I agreed to the price I was quoted, and
acknowledged the 7-business day shipping estimate. Well, you can
imagine my surprise when the boxes arrived 2 days later. The
enclosed bill, and credit card charge, was $76.00 less than what I
had been quoted. When I inquired about this discrepancy with the
billing department, I was told a miscalculation had been made. Some
companies would have kept my $76.00 and made no mention of it. DELL
did not, and for their honesty they deserve kudos. Later, when I
received a bill for S&H on the "Free Printer" and paid by check, a
like amount was charged to my credit card. I would probably have
missed the charge, but DELL notified me of the mistake and promptly
sent a credit notice to my credit card. It is refreshing to find an
"up-front" company like DELL.
