| Joey1505's Full Review: Sager NP3360 |
When deciding to purchase a new laptop I considered the Gateway Solo 9300, Dell Inspiron 3800, and of course the Sager 3360. I decided to go with the Sager: because of the price and their warranty. I was somewhat skeptical about purchasing a computer from a company that I knew nothing about. However, so far I do not have any complaints. One time the computer shut off on its own, but that hasn't happened again and I didn't even bother to call technical support. The 8X DVD-ROM drive plays movies very smoothly. I watched the Matrix and the graphics were excellent, that can be attributed to the 8MB of Video RAM . The only problem I had was with the sound, the speakers weren't as loud as I had hoped. The software that came with computer was very limited, but that is understandable because of the low price ($2,095). The computer only came with Windows 98 SE, DVD player software and nothing more.
The computer also came standard with 128 MB of RAM, and it is expandable to 512 MB. Sager's competitor's usually only offer 64 MB. I wasn't satisfied with the battery, it didn't last as long at I had hoped. Another thing that should be improved is the technical support. Luckily I haven't had to call yet, but their technical support is only open 9AM- 5PM pacific time. Overall, I would recommend the computer, it is an excellent bargain. Anyone who is looking for a desktop replacement for a good price look no further than the Sager 3360.
