I am a writer and spend at least ten to twelve hours a day on my computer writing or on the Internet working since most of writing is currently online. I had heard about ergonomic keyboards from other writer as the thing to have since I spent so much time on my computer.
I began to research all the ones out there trying to find the best deal. I saw all the ones for fifty to a hundred dollars and laughed. Maybe when I could afford to feed myself. So I gave up on my dream of an ergonomic keyboard of my own until one day I heard of one on sale for 24.99 from a writer friend. I asked all the particulars, and went back on my keyboard hunt.
After calling around at two of the local office supply chains, I finally found the one on sale. I went to the store and there it was. I bought it and like a kid on Christmas opening a brand new toy, I opened it and installed it.
At first the keyboard was weird because I was used to a plain one. But after a day or two I got used to it. The Wave keyboard comes with a wrist rest attachment, but I did not use it. My keyboard also came with a AT-PS/2 adapter.
The Wave Keyboard is designed for Windows 95/98. Since I began using it 6 months ago, I have been happy. Before turning ergonomic I would experience wrist pain. After starting to use the PC Concepts Wave, those problems slowly disappeared.
Furthermore, the new keyboard had improved my typing speed and learning how to type in general. Before the Wave entered my life I was a look and type typist. now I am more of a touch typist. My one complaint is that with the adapter hanging out the back so much, I have broken the adapter once already and had to replace it. I recommend the PC Concepts Wave for anyone that uses the computer a lot during the day for work or other purposes. And at 24.99 or less it is a great bargain.
