I support about 200 end users and have been getting Dell desktops exclusively for more than a year. The support has been good, compared with Micron. The "out of the box" experience has been good, again compared with Micron. What I especially like is that every component inside is something you might reasonably choose if you were building from scratch and spec'd the components individually (vs. Micron and HP - HP shipped some workstations with this weird home grown combination scsi controller and ethernet adapter). This means you are pretty likely to be able to upgrade down the road (compared with Compaq- had a very hard time installing an ata 66 ide hard drive on a machine a couple of years old - proprietary ide controller) and find drivers for alternative OS's.
The one quibble I have is that their motherboards are a little out of date. You need to purchase an ultra 66 ide controller board from them (which they will install free) for $20 or so if you want the last little bit of speed from the hard drive. It'll work fine without and the extra speed only applies under certain circumstances anyway.
Another quibble - you might be paying a little more for the Intel PIII vs. the AMD Athlon. I can understand why they'd back one horse and stick with it, though.
I would stay away from the XPS B series (and any computer with RAMBUS).
