Are any really better then the other

Nov 07 '00

I have a Sony CRX100E/X2 and i have found theres a lot of settings that have to be changed just to burn a CD, but I also have tried a few other drives and the same settings need to be changed to avoid buffer underruns.
Another thing I have found is the Sony has less complications but, still not as easy as they make it seem. To burn a Cd you can not even have any anti-virus or screen savers running or it will cause interruptions. Sony also makes it easier to get help with burning, on their website they have step by step directions.
They also have a great tech. support line which is a 24 hour line. The only thing I didn't like about the tech. support is that if you need help with the software, they tell you to just go to the website they can't walk you stap by step through software you are on your own. And after you are out of warranty you don't get support unless you pay a $19.95, then if your problem isn't solved then you have 2 weeks of support before you pay again.
Sometimes it takes longer then that to figure out what the problem is. I think once you have paid for support then you should get the problem fixed no matter how long it takes.
