There's one unique feature about this drive that not many people know about... It can be upgraded to 6x4x24!!! This means it is exactly like the MP-7060!!! Go out and buy this drive if they are still out there!! The way it works is that someone has written a patch for this drive that updates its firmware to make the drive think that it actually is an MP-7060!! To get this patch you can find it multiple places on the web like the Ricoh Users forum on Delphi.com @ http://www.delphi.com/mp6200/. This site has a whole lot of info on the subject of Ricoh drives and what they have to offer you.
I've had my drive for about 9 months now and I've only lost one CD out of fifty or so burned, now that's not a bad ratio if you ask me!! The drive is relatively cheap, you can find it online for about $150 OEM. Now that puts this drive at the bottom compared to the other brands, but its quality is on par with the others. Don't waste your money getting an HP or Creative Labs, go online and get the Ricoh MP-7040 NOW!!!
