Based on several reviews from other sites, I chose this mainboard for my first computer-building experience. It's stable, the documentation is wonderful (both what it comes with, and what's on the EPoX site).
I've changed processors (Cyrix PR366, then a AMD K6-2/500), network cards, sound cards on the computer and had zero incompatibility problems.
It supports up to a K6-2/550 processor. Changes to the processor multiplier and front-side bus frequency are done with easy jumper settings, adequately marked on the circuit board and well-documented in the manual that comes with the board.
The only drawback with this board, and it's a small one, is memory expansion capability. It will only take up to a 128 MB DIMM, so it can only go up to 384 MB of RAM
If you're interested in an easy mainboard to dive into building your own computer, this is the one to buy.
