Is a Dell PC for You?

Are you looking to purchase a new PC soon? Well there are a lot of different options out there. You go out to your local computer store and get a white box computer and select all the parts you want to be put in it, which most PC user would be at the mercy of the sales person expecting them to be very knowledgeable, or go to a store like compUSA or Computer City and get a PC that is pre configured the way the computer vendor thinks you want it, or you can go to an online manufacturer like dell or gateway. Well if you decide that you want more control over your purchase then the online vendor is the way to go.
Dell has put itself in the position of being a premier producer of PC's, and being a dell certified tech I know a bit about dell products and also owning a dell PC provides me greater insight into the quality of the Dell PC.
Dell provides excellent customer service. they will send a tech to your home to repair the PC if you need it. Dell uses high quality manufacturers parts such as Sony, ATI, adaptec, Iomega, Matrox and others.
Dell will allow you to have your PC installed with the software that you choose and have it ready to be configured and ready to use.
If you work for a company that uses Dell products you can in some cases get discounts due to your employers purchases. (this may require that you get a larger more powerful computer than you had originally wanted but in some cases that will not make a dollar difference and as in my case it cost me less than what I wanted to pay in the first place.
If you are business owner and are looking to purchase PC's there is a separate business line that will make sure you get help faster than your non-business counterparts. Dell wants your experience with them to be positive not only for the business but as an individual.
I have owned quite a few computers and for the most part the difference that is most important is the service that you get from the manufacturer.
Dell Makes sure that every one gets the service that is quick and timely. I can call dell at any time of day to get the help that I am looking for when it comes to problems that I have encountered with my software and ordering hardware when needed.
Dell computers will allow you to use your legacy hardware if you make sure to request an ISA slot or two in combination with you PCI slots.
Dell manufactures an excellent product that will meet your needs for today and will be able to make a product that meets your requirements for tomorrow.
