starting to really like this game. took a while... I used to play my brother a lot and we would alternately get frustrated by giving up too many breakaways. I now play more "responsible" in my own end and I kick his butt regularly. problems are no poke check and every check is devastating. too many ringers off the posts, and occasional glitches. puck never goes out of play. line changes take way too long.
other than that, this game has the most realistic game play. maybe in the future, they can have a version that can be "tuned" to however you want to play: speed, injuries, checks etc.
the graphics are okay and the players move around backwards and forwards realistically, but it's hard to make them "hockey stop."
the best thing to do is play at all star level, and turn down the speed to a more realistic level. then it's lots of fun. the computer is still pretty easy to beat, but that is usually the case after some time with any game. maybe in the future they could make it more realistic that way.
