Pros: Ball bearing fans, pass through USB power connector, active cooling mechanism, not passive "raise laptop". Cons: Bad power connector design. Too tiny, failed within 1 week of product usage.

What can I say? It's COOL!

Pros: A small investment to protect your expensive laptop. Cons: USB power connection needs improvement.
I've heard a lot of stories about the havoc that heat can cause a notebook computer. Thus, I set out to find a device that would cool off my PowerBook 17".
Unlike plastic made products from Macally, Targus and others, the Antec Notebook Cooler has a perforated aluminum surface. Although aluminum is a great passive radiator of heat all by itself, the Antec cooler is particularly effective because of its two built-in, USB powered fans. It would be nice if the fans were a little quieter. However the noise level is not really obtrusive. Heat from the PowerBook has gone from "uncomfortably warm" to "hardly palpable". The Antec Notebook Cooler has elongated corners so it evenly supports my large notebook computer.
I agree with another reviewer that the USB power connection is not a great design. My cooler, however, mostly stays on my desk. So I don't expect I'll experience the same problem he/she had when the connection started to weaken from the cooler going in and out of a carrying case.
