Pros: Good image quality Cons: Overpriced, colors bland, software package weak.
I currently own five different webcams, and have four hooked up. This is the only one i've decided not to use. I own three hawkings technology cameras, a creative labs webcam 3, and this camera and I think this one has the worst picture of all.

Pros: Easy to set-up, great picture quality, easy to focus, long cord provides flexibility Cons: auto-brightness feature occasionally still requires you to adjust brightness
What a great little webcam! I chose this model because of the positive reviews I found on Amazon.com. They all talked about how clear the picture is compared to other webcams in the price range.
I am VERY computer illiterate, but I was able to...

Pros: Advanced lighting and color effects Cons: No privacy cover.
When Windows 2000 came around my old Logitech Cam just wouldn’t work due to lack of driver updates. For almost a year now I wanted a top of the line web cam that would work with my operating system. My beautiful girlfriend just decided to go out and get...

Pros: Ease of use, setup Cons: Gimmicky, and not very portable at all
Yes, I'm new to the entire webcam "thing". I recently borrowed a friends just to check out what all the excitement was about. Now I can't pull myself away from it. After a few minutes tweaking with it, I can record at a nice 30fps, and even...

Pros: Head and shoulders above any other webcam on the market in terms of picture quality Cons: mac drivers aren't as good as pc drivers - this cam is also discontinued, sadly
Sadly, 3com has chosen to discontinue this webcam, which they bought from Vicam a couple years back. This is the webcam owned by nearly every girl and guy who do webcam sites for a living or near-living, myself included. I have tried nearly every camera...

Pros: image clarity, design Cons: average software bundle, multicolor faces ;)
My mom had promised me a webcam as a graduation gift so I was doing some research on webcams here at epinions.com and talking to my online friends. I came to the conclusion that this webcam was by far one of the highest ranking webcams. I was a little...

Pros: Super color and picture quality Cons: None!
I can't say enough great things about this web cam. The 3com Homeconnect is crisp, clear, and solid. From noon sunlight to a moon lit room, the 3com gives you a great picture. Low light is usually my number one concern in all camera products, so it was...

Pros: great feature set Cons: seems pricey until you see the features for yourself
For some reason, my employer decided to buy 4 of these. I found out about them and "borrowed" one of them to test for Mac compatibility (drivers are available from the original developer, Vista Imaging, at <http://www.vistaimaging.com/>)....

Pros: Great picture, low light support, excellent resolution, quick and easy setup, compact and portable. Cons: A bit grainy in low light.
After having a Logitech webcam for a while, I decided that I needed a clearer cam for my website. So we cruised to the local Best Buy in search of a good quality cam. When we got there, I looked over the selection they had. What I was looking for was a...

Pros: Ease Of Use, Easy To Install Cons: None
This net camera is a definite improvement over their original net cam they once had. You used to have to install an internal capture card inside your computer then hook the camera to it. Well, that frightened many people off since most people don't want...

Pros: Easy to setup, great pictures. Cons: Price.
I won this camera in a contest put together by an online media company, by the name of DigiMarc, which was pretty cool, since I didn't remember entering the contest, but the camera showed up at my doorstep as a surprise one day.
You must...

Pros: price, software bundle, ease of use Cons: usb version only
One of the premier companies for computer peripherals is 3Com. Their latest offering in the highly competitive field of pc cameras -- HomeConnect™ PC Digital Camera - is well worth its retail price of $150. It's installation is a snap with the enclosed...

Pros: good framerate and quality, still shot resolution is excellent Cons: not portable
This camera is excellent for many uses. I mainly used mine in my office at work so me and my wife could communicate by seeing each other. We were two states away from each other at the time so this method of communication seemed best.
The...

Pros: The camera has a nice solid base and stays where you sit it. It is black and doesnt catch attention. The software control that comes with it is pretty flexible. The usb cable is about 9 feet long. The USB cable plugs into the camera so it can be replaced w Cons: Poor Color. Grainy picture under anything but normal light. Retail box and price indicates web cam software but they really stick you with the older demo version. 3 Com just said sorry we cant help you, we know we made a mistake but we cant do anything abo
Contrary to the rave reviews I was not happy at all with the overall
resolution and the color accuracy. This camera was not as good as the cheaper Intel/PCI cam I had before even with it's low light sensitivity and Automatic Gain feature. Its not as...

Pros: Excellent image quality, good base, long USB cable included Cons: Old, 3Com dropping support, no longer the best available. Controls have Win3.1 look and feel.
In its day, the 3Com HomeConnect was just about the best webcam you could get. I have owned it for many years now and have seen no reason to upgrade. However, I have recently had an opportunity to test a variety of newer webcams, and I must say that...
