Pros: Can't think of even ONE! Cons: WORST tech support, COMPLETELY unreliable, VERY unstable, Poor design, Junk Parts
I was starting a business and needed a laptop to travel so I spent a nice amount of time researching different brands etc. Spoke to some family members who have used Dell computers and thought why not, seemed like it would be a reliable brand - boy was...

Pros: Looks good. Price is good. Cons: Dell's support is the worst bar none.
As a network administrator, I have deal with my fair share of hardware and computer manufactures in purchasing, support, and as an end user. (Compaq, Toshiba, HP to name a few.) My experience with Dell has been the worst consumer experience of my life...

Pros: Fast delivery, Good technical support Cons: No hard-copy computer manual
I purchased the Dell Inspiron 4000 a few months ago. I was amazed at the fast delivery ...it was ordered online Monday night and it was delivered Wednesday. Overall, it seems to be working well. However, every now and then I get a system error or...

Pros: light, affordable, quick, beautiful display, great extended warranty. Cons: itty bitty speakers sounds toooo low for my taste.

Pros: Big, bright screen, fast, large keyboard. Cons: Ethernet/modem ports on right side get in way of ext. mouse cord.
This is my fifth notebook PC. I think it's probably my best, too. The screen is large and bright, the keyboard is roomy. If you like the ThinkPad style pointer stick, this one has it, along with a touchpad (what I use). I went fully loaded with this one....

Pros: Fast, nice screen, plenty of space Cons: Sorta heavy...but not much
I've had my 4000 for about 2 months now, and it is a purchase I relish. My only gripe is that it's a little heavier than I thought, but it's not bad enough to make me return it. I don't know about Dell's tech support yet--but then, I haven't had any...

Pros: Looks Great, power was good, nice port options. Cons: A lot of useless files.
I'm currently typing from a Dell Inspiron 4000 and so far,it has performed almost flawlessly. When I got it I quickly unpacked it and started it up.I was surprised at all the stuff that came in just the two boxes. When I turned it on,a cute little cartoon...

Pros: Excellent screen, great looks and lean design. Cons: Bad construction, cheap keyboard feel, price, only 1 USB port.
Oct 8 2002 update
Noted a scratch mark on my LCD screen that keeps on appearing after I've cleaned it up.
When the laptop is closed, the screen actually touches the ridge between the mouse pad and the keyboard, causing the mark......

Pros: good price with nice features, Dell Service Cons: getting relatively Hot
I bought this Laptop (Inspiron 4000, 20GB, 128 MB, Celeron 800, 3 yr service, 14.1" TFT, Win ME, DVD) for a bit over $1,200. Immediately after I received it, I upgraded the memory to 512 MB (2*256 MB from Crucial.com for a total ~$89), the OS to Windows...

Pros: Decent price, good specs Cons: None really, except lots of competition, so make sure you shop around
I've had this laptop for about half a year now. It hasn't given me any problems. I upgraded the RAM a couple of months ago, and it was extremely easy to do.
The price of this machine is quite competitive, but I got it during one of dell's...

Pros: Light, Large Screen, Battery life, Features Cons: lightweight chassis, DVD-ROM sporadic
This is the best laptop I have ever owned and I have owned a few.
Battery: When used properly, can last up to 3 hours on one charge. Good enough to watch a DVD on an airplane ride.
Screen: Big and Bright.
I can't say enough about this...

Pros: looks, size, easy to use, compatable, a lot of options for harware and software. Cons: Gets very hot on the bottom, battery life, sound.
I bought this computer a few months ago from the factory. I went with dell for it's qaulity and service. I use the comuter for games, school, Internet, movies, and my cell phone can connect to the computer. One peice of harware that I like is the...

Pros: Attractive screen but thin bezel and flimsy back make it damage-prone. No other pro's. Cons: Unreliable, poor quality parts, poor workmanship, faulty wiring. Price barely competes with other mail-orders.
I bought a "new" P3 900Mhz from the Dell on-line store, but apparently I got some other dissatisfied customer's return. The unit I received was dusty, finger-smudged, scratched and obviously second-hand. Very little works: the modem keeps cutting out and...

Pros: fairly quick Cons: LCD, mouse, mouse button, hard drive, broke.
First off, I've sent in my Dell Inspiron 4000 4 times in the past 4 months for the LCD, mouse, mouse button, hard drive, and battery latch. The laptop is of very little use to me when it's always at the depot getting fixed. And they absolutely refuse...

Pros: good price, fast, reliable Cons: hard to get used to mouse button placement
I purchased this computer for school and was looking for the cheapest laptop that could be had with the right specs. Well, Dell was recommended by friends and turned out to be a very good deal.
When I actually received my computer I realized...
