Pros: It WAS a neat idea Cons: Too many to name...see review!
For weeks I have been looking forward to getting to our local Kinkos to try the new Kodak PictureMaker Kiosk. From visiting the website on it (at www.kodak.com) and talking on the phone to a Kinkos representative it sounded like this machine was just...
The Kodak PictureMaker Kiosk
The Kodak PictureMaker Kiosk is a great companion to a high-resolution digital camera. Going digital allows you to take a lot of shots without any incremental increase in cost. Many times I will take two or...
Pros: Quick and easy! Cons: Bad quality prints. It can really get expensive!
For those who don’t know, the Kodak Picture Maker is a machine that makes reprints of your photos. It’s primarily for people that have lost their negatives. The unit is basically a scanner and a printer hidden in a kiosk. It is also capable of...
Pros: Fast, High Quality, Great for Presents Cons: Can get expensive
Hi, I work at a Kinko's that has one of the big yellow Kodak kiosks in it and I'm going to write the review from the point of the retailer, because for just about every con I've seen thus far there's been simple explanations that aren't to be blamed on...
Pros: Easy to use, quick, great way to share photos with others Cons: can be costly, doesn't beat professional photo services
I first started using the "Kodak PictureMaker Kiosk" about a year ago after my mother recommended it to me. I had a coupon for it, buy one get one free, so I decided to give it a shot. An aunt of mine had lent me some pictures of my...
Pros: Fast, easy, excellent prints. Cons: There is room for a few more editing options, flatbed scanner captures dust.
I have to admit it. I had pretty much written this thing off as a low quality novelty printer before I ever tried it. Though recently, I got a wild hair and decided to have three sets of 8x10's made using three different methods of printing. I used 2 diff ...
Pros: No ownership cost. Cons: Relatively expensive per print. Poor editing controls.
My first attempt to print a digital color photo went well. The print had higher contrast than a print made from Kodak 35mm film would have, but the colors looked good, with no obvious streaking or banding, as is often the case with photo quality ink jet...
Pros: great color and able to crop and zoom Cons: none
I purchased a Kodak digital camera several months ago and have been looking at different ways to print my pictures. I've been printing some of them at home on my computer on a Lexmark 5770 printer (I'll have to write a review about that later).
Pros: Copying actual hardcopy photos, Cons: Confusing input options, poor in-store help, can't mix pictures on one sheet
Since the Picture Maker kiosk is supposed to be "walk up and use", I figured it was an ideal way to print out my digital photos. I have a Coolpix 950 with 128MB compact flash, CD-ROM burner, and use online services like Shutterfly. How hard could this...
Pros: good for photo grouping Cons: software downloads
This is a great site to go to. You'll love the great prices and love the way they repsond to you. check it out, I highly recommend it. This site is very informative and is good for the family. And it is a great new software to learn. it is great to be...
Pros: It's a good landmark if a bunch of you get separated in the store. Cons: Slow, expensive and difficult to use.
I find it hard to say anything good about this machine.
It took 10 minutes to read my CD. It takes a good couple of minutes to go from one page of pictures on the screen to the next.
It took me 20 minutes to print a sheet with 3 6x4" prints on.
I needed 220 prints.
So, I figured out that I had a life, and stopped after the one sheet.
Good thing I did- because it turns out that Kodak gouges you for $6.99 a sheet.
Bye bye, PictureMaker, Hellooooo SnapFish.

Pros: fast, very good quality Cons: deep blues
The quality of the photos surprised me. It is not perfect, but is not too far from some respected names in business, like mpix.com. Most of the reviews here are old and are written by people with little technical knowledge. I use it often for quick prints, and keep most of them. For my best images, I use mpix.com or local professional studios.
Some downsides are too much blues, some loss of sharpness (but much better than most other 60 min places). Most users would never notice that, and they would have to blame themselves for the poor image quality of their prints.
