Pros: Inexpensive calls Cons: Unreliable, billing problems
Net2phone is has been around for awhile. They allow you to make free 5 minute calls in the US and low price domestic and International calls. I have friends in Europe so I figured I'd try it out. My long distance savings were 50% over MCI or ATT.

Pros: Cheap Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE!!!
I have had Net2Phone since November of 1999 (if memory serves me). I have to say in a pinch when my husband was laid off, Net2phone was a cheap and easy way to keep in touch. However, there is something seriously lacking in the customer service end of...

Pros: Widely known Cons: Requires a $25 minimum to use, trouble with trial use
I recently decided to get rid of my land line and go totally wireless. I signed up with Verizon and got my wife and son on the family share plan. So far so good, but what if we run out of our anytime minutes? It seemed foolish to add a large number of...

Pros: Allows you make use of your computer's microphone Cons: Underdeveloped service
Bad service, bad website, bad competition...
It would be a surprise for me that net2phone manages to get new customers through their site - they must be doing it through conventional sources. Whenever you try to go to their web site and sign...

Pros: Free long distance, no account needed Cons: May not be for those with slow connections
I use the Net2Phone service that comes bundled with the Yahoo Messenger program. I have used it quite a bit and overall am pretty satisfied. When I first tried using Net2Phone, I didn?t want to set up an account, so I didn?t download the software. But...

Pros: Marketing on their Game Cons: Bad Customer Service, Even worse products.
You would think a company that has a 2 billion dollar valuation could create a product that works. I bought the Yap Phone from the company website (yapgear.com) that displays a whole line of new products that Net2Phone has created to capture the...

The Good
* Cheap phone calls to anywhere.
The Bad

Pros: low cost Cons: echo and frequent dropout during peak hours
Like the other network phone systems, Net2Phone suffers from tremendous echo problems. Not to the user but to the other end. This can be reduced by using headsets or the MUTE button but that does impact the overall usability of the system.
