Pros: starts out good, may stay that way for some Cons: make sure you fill out that profile right!
I used Netzero for a while when I first got my computer, and did not have any problems with it, except for a slow connection.
Eventually I decided to try out some other ISP's, and did not use Netzero for a while.
After trying AOL,...

Pros: ok connection speeds Cons: wants money now
My friends, it's the unkindest cut of all. Netzero now wants money. Of course they're in business to make money. But their M.O. was supposed be bombarding us with banner ads until we mindlessly hand over our cash, right?
Over the last 8...

Pros: Fairly reliable and Free. Cons: Pop ups every fifteen minutes, Zero Port ad bar
Is Netzero For you?<br>
Netzero is one of only a few surviving free ISP's out there.
So if you want free, you really have very little choice.
One other choice is Juno, but for me Juno is horribly unreliable,
I can almost...

Pros: Well, it's free. Cons: Annoying POP UP advertisements will drive you crazy!
I am still currently using NetZero because I am researching some of the other free ISP's before I switch. I want to make SURE I don't encounter this same annoying problem with the next one!
NetZero seemed like such a great idea... saving...

Pros: Great connections for a free/cheap ISP Cons: Annoying Ad-bar and unorthodox startup page
The end of an era has occurred; an epiphany in the Internet world. I am of course talking about the demise of most of the free Internet Service Providers or ISP’s. As of a year ago, it was a cool thing to use a free ISP. I even wrote an entire editorial...

Pros: FREE! Very easy to use also Cons: Have to have ad bar on the screen while connected
After paying $22 a month for AOL for over a year, I decided to venture out and try one of the many free isp's that were popping up all over the place. I checked out Netzero, and it looked legitamate, so we signed up right away. I was so used to AOL and...

Pros: free, fun bugs Cons: 3.0 doesn't work, slow to load in 2.2, bugs
Perhaps it is just me ... maybe I'm to blame. But if a fellow with a degree in computer science and 15 years of experience with computers can't get 3.0 to work ... my guess is that the problem is with NetZero. It might be a problem that only exists on...

Pros: 20 hours of Free internet Cons: Banners and a fee after 20 hours
They call themselves the defenders of the free world. They claim the Internet should be free, but now it should only be free for 40 hours a month, and then you pay.
NetZero is a great Internet service, if you only use the Internet for a few...

Pros: free, better than not having the internet Cons: it's not fast
internet is a service that should be free to the people and that is what netzero has done. it has provided us with an essential product and without a cost, not even a single penny.

Pros: Free, OK connection speeds Cons: Disruptive ad bar, heavy system hog
Countless free ISP's used to dot(-com) the landscape. But that was before the Internet bloodbath we've seen in the last four months.
The Internet, one region of American business where competition really is good, has experienced massive...

Pros: I thought I was getting an inexpensive ISP. Cons: Bad service and worse Customer Service. BUYER BEWARE!!!!
Signed up for NetZero Platinum on May 30th. Found out after three hours of wrangling with the connections that NetZero was not compatible with my system (Computer and Webtv). Refused to pay the $14.95 fee for what is advertised as a "toll-free" phone...

Pros: It's Free Cons: Too much of a hassle
Although NetZero does provide free internet access, it also provides some things that you may not want to deal with, such as an annoying advertising banner, spyware, a long log on time, just to name a few.
The ad banner sits on your screen;...

Pros: list of local numbers Cons: busy lines, slow connection speed
Netzero started out pretty good: easy to go online, and connection speed was good, eventhough local numbers were just a few. Now, Netzero has a lot more local numbers, but at the same time, they keep switching some local numbers from...

Pros: It's free Cons: Busy signals, huge browser obscuring ad.
But I will.
I used NetZero when it still somewhat new. I liked the service, even if I didn't like the ad that was always on top of my screen. I figured that it was a small price to pay for free internet. Then they updated their software....

Pros: reliable, hardly ever busy Cons: browser always sends you to netzero's page
I've used Netzero for about 6 months now.
LIKES: For a free ISP, its pretty reliable. I use it pretty much everyday and its never been busy. About 90% of the time, I succeed in getting online the first time. I used to have AOL and 90% is what...
