Pros: None
Cons: The WORST antenna I have ever used.
Too expensive for its pathetic performance.
The Bottom Line: Do not waste your time and money. Product simply is VERY weak and inferior to a nothing set of rabbit ears that came with an old TV.

| d0qtrx's Full Review: TERK TV-55 TERK Indoor/Outdoor Amplified TV Antenn... |
I had just purchased an HDTV tuner and I wanted to get an antenna. Since I live less than 10 miles from Chicago, I figured just about any antenna would do.
I started with a generic set of rabbit ears. They worked okay. Channels would come in but occasionally drop out.
I tried a more expensive Jensen amplified antenna and did not see any improvement. Then I figured I would try this antenna. I had seen it reviewed elsewhere and it looked interesting.
I wired it up and got nothing. After some tweaking I got a couple channels with VERY weak signals. I then got some cable and brought it upstairs, getting it as high as possible. No real improvement. Short of going up on the roof, I tried it everywhere with no luck.
For $100 I expected a LOT more.
I then tried my generic $2.00 rabbit ears again upstairs where I had tried the Terk. Low and behold, every channel came in perfectly. Even the stubborn WBBM (Channel 2). And no drop-outs.
Needless to say this POS is headed straight back to the store/.
