Gameboy Advanced: The next revolution of handheld gaming
Mar 09 '01
The Bottom Line Next generation graphics on a handheld machine that fits in your pocket for $99. What else could you want?
On June 11, 2001, the handheld gaming world will be shocked and amazed at what Nintendo has brought up its sleeve. On this date in the USA, it will introduce Game Boy Advance, a revolutionary new system that will change the atmosphere of hand held gaming, as we know it.
As the progressor to Game boy Color, it is quite innovative just by, it's looks. Instead of it's normal vertical design, which it has implied in its previous systems, it will be vertically aligned as the much sought after Game Gear and NeoGeo Pocket Color. It will come in three different flavors: Arctic, Indigo, and Glacier. It will posses an 8-way digital pad, two action buttons, two shoulders buttons and a start and select button.
The graphics itself will be unparallel to any system that has been released. It is comparable to graphics of a Super Nintendo with advanced capabilities. It will use the same Mode 7 technology, with bits and pieces taken from Nintendo 64. From the screen shoots, I have seen, the graphics look incredibly detailed for a handheld system.
The system will be released right now with several major games ranging from Sonic Adventure to Super Mario 2 Advanced.
The Game boy Advanced will also be used as a controller for Nintendo's stationary new next-gen system, Gamecube that will be developed later this year.
This will be a revolutionary system that when released will be for a low price of 99 dollars. This is going to make every single Nintendo fan alike rush to the stores to get this incredible system.
