Cooking.com is one of my favorite online merchants for purchases of kitchen tools and gear. Often I find gadgets that are hard or impossible to locate in the local shops. This store offers a wide assortment of the items that cooks need, or should I say prefer?, in order to succeed in the kitchen. Whether you are a novice cook, or if you maintain a style like Emeril or Martha Stewart, it is likely that you will find useful kitchenware at this site.
Merchandise that we've purchased includes items such as accessories for our stand-up KitchenAid mixer, various gadgets, and small appliances. Whether you are looking for a $6.50 OXO apple corer, or a $249. KitchenAid mixer, www.cooking.com has a large selection! If there is a challenge to be mentioned, it would be that I often spend too long at this online store, browsing (and at times purchasing) kitchen items that I don't necessarily need.
Don't limit your visits to shopping excursions for yourself, as this store offers fabulous gift basket options too. This site offers gift suggestions, categorizing them in sections such as Ultimate Gifts, Gifts Under $100, Gifts Under $50., Gifts for Her, Gifts for Him, Gifts for Asian Cuisine, Gifts for the Kitchen Electrics Expert, Gifts for the Griller, or Gifts for the Bartender. It was at this site that I easily found an egg cooker for gift giving purposes. Yes an egg cooker, much like the one we own.
I am pleased with the site, as it is easy to navigate to the desired categories (either via category listings or the search capabilities) and the graphics load quickly - even with dial-up connection. It is my experience that the graphics and word descriptions offer realistic representation of the products. Upon finding an item that I like, I can either put the product into my Wish List or directly into my Cart for purchase. It is simple to complete purchases at Cooking.com: confirmation emails are received (complete with USPS tracking number), orders are received on time, the products are in good condition (carefully packaged), and charges to my card have always been accurate.

Pricing varies at this site from below normal retail to occasionally being higher than local retail, however most items are comparably priced and if your order total reaches $99., super saver shipping is free. Combine the shipping savings with the fact that as Washington residents we aren't charged sales tax (tax is added to orders shipped within California)… the savings is great, especially considering gas prices these days. It is also noteworthy that this merchant guarantees their prices for 30 days (If you find the same item you’ve already purchased on their site within 30 days of the date of purchase, they will refund the difference.) Additionally they offer price matching, with a few stipulations.
In addition to shopping options, there are helpful sections such as Recipes & Menus, Buying Guides, Wedding Registry, Gift Ideas, and more.
There are Shipping Options; I normally select the least expensive –super saver- option. My orders arrive on time, in approximately 7-10 days. Every time that I have ordered, this merchant has offered free super saver shipping for orders totaling $99.
