Had problems with this model

Pros: Nice to have a DVD & VCR together. Universal remote is easy to use.

Cons: Not being able to reliably record my favorite TV shows. Not worth it

I bought one about 8 months ago. After 2 months, I exchanged it because when I recorded something from the TV, I would get lines for a picture & a warbley sound. I tried new tapes & they did the same, so I exchanged it. The new one worked fine, then after about 5 months, the same thing started happening. Tried new tapes again, but it was a problem with the model, not the tapes. I returned it & got a different brand. The store manager said he'd had a few others come back with problems too. I would not recommend buying this model.
