A bad experience

Pros: Quality of the 4 pictures I did get to print was very good
Cons: Have only been able to print 4 pictures since I purchased the printer.
The Bottom Line: Don't purchase this printer.

I have had nothing but trouble since I purchased a Photosmart 7150 in late July. The first printer made a humming/whirling noise which the service department said wasn't a problem and would only replace it with a rebuilt printer. I didn't want to listen to the noise from a brand new product and I didn't want a rebuilt one, so I took it back to the store and they replaced it.
The second time I went to use that printer, a piece (maybe a paper guide) fell off. The service department couldn't solve the problem. I offered to email them a picture of the piece, but they couldn't receive an email. They promised a NEW printer. I waited two months and finally called. They said they were waiting for me to fax the receipt - they had never told me to fax it. They promised a NEW printer right away. A printer came right away, but it was a refurbished printer. I told them I wanted a refund, and was told I would only get an 80% refund, I would have to pay for packaging the printer to return it (they would pay the shipping fee)and they would not reimburse me for tax, etc. I think I have had it with HP.
